Live Music Television presents Steve Miller Band performing Fly Like An Eagle, recorded and filmed live on Burt Sugarman's Midnight Special in 1974, before it was later released on the Steve Miller Band album in 1976. Fans who know will notice that this version is slightly different than the studio recording. If you happen to buy the 2006 re-mastered version of "Fly Like An Eagle" it includes a version of the song closer to this live version. Enjoy!

Live Music Television is pleased to present a unique French act known as St.L么. The group is led by a commanding female vocalist named Miz Walidah backed by three of male musicians: docMau, iOta and Ton’s. Miz Walidah has a strong vocal sound that is all her own, but there have been those who have named Grace Jones, Annie Lennox and Nina Simone to describe the vein she is in.
This live performance below was filmed at a annual French music festival that started in 1979 known as Les Rencontres Trans Musicales, also known as Les Transmusicales de Rennes. It takes place in Rennes, Brittany, France. In 2017, it is happening from December 6th through December 10th.
The song that St.L么 performs is a cover, their own unique rendition, of a classic song titled In The Pines. The song that has unknown authorship, but dates back to at least the 1870's. Artists who have coverd it include Lead Belly, Bob Dylan, Kurt Cobain and even Dolly Parton.
The band states the following about their cover version of "In The Pines:
"... With almost every cover, singers have taken license to change the lyrics. In the Pines is a folk song and though it is unclear who originally wrote it, folk songs are made to blow in the wind of time and the public domain. They are susceptible to change. St.L么 reinterprets In the Pines as a two person conversation, a hauntingly soulful story, set to a steady four on the floor."
