Jackie Bristow - Freedom (filmed live in concert)

Live Music Television filmed live performance of Jackie Bristow and Mark Punch performing Freedom.

This video is of a indie music great from New Zealand named Jackie Bristow. Along with her main music sidekick and guitarist, Mark Punch, they exude the sort of authenticity and the right twang that has them destined for major country music stardom.

In addition to Mark, Jackie always has great handpicked inspired musicians supporting her no matter where she is in the world. She has the right friends in the right places who have made the shows I have seen, stellar. She rolls into any situation and makes it sound great!

The first video below was filmed in Santa Ynez, California, at a spot called Maverick Saloon for the saloon's Tales from the Tavern Concert Series.

Jackie is backed by Mark Punch on guitar with Carole Colone, the local promoter of the concert series who is typically not a member of the band, sitting in on percussion. Carole is instrumental in producing the ongoing Tales from the Tavern Concert Series. Bravo for a performance and video & audio recording well done!

Please click the play button, choose high-res & full screen and sit back & enjoy this music video which will automatically be followed by several hours of handpicked music videos. Press forward to skip any video or click the rewind button to replay or return to previous songs.

Written by Allen Stone - Brown Eyed Lover lyrics © BMG Rights Management, Kobalt Music Publishing Ltd.
Waiting
Waiting
Waiting
I've got a brown-eyed lover
On the other side of town
I don't wanna keep her waiting
(I don't wanna keep her waiting, waiting)
She's got me upside tongue-tied
Twisted all around
I don't wanna keep her waiting
(I don't wanna keep her waiting, waiting)
Well, I don't know
I can't tell
Will this last
Or just come and go?
It came so fast
And my feet feel cold
But my mind is for sure
And my heart remains
Oh, she's got everything you want
Wardrobe bought at the thrift shop
And all my friends adore her
She reminds me of my mother
She wonders how my day went
And don't care about my paychecks
Well, I don't wanna keep my baby waiting
I've got a brown-eyed lover
On the other side of town
I don't wanna keep her waiting
(I don't wanna keep her waiting, waiting)
She's got me upside tongue-tied
Twisted all around
I don't wanna keep her waiting
(I don't wanna keep her waiting, waiting)
Oh, let me think
What if she finds a man
Who's got so much more time
For her than me on his hands?
That don't make sense
Why would she wait so long
Just to run away?
Oh, she's got everything you want
Let's me pick the restaurants
And all my friends adore her
And I can still afford her
She wishes I'd stop worrying
About where my next paycheck is
Well, I don't wanna keep my baby waiting
I've got a brown-eyed lover
On the other side of town
I don't wanna keep her waiting
(I don't wanna keep her waiting, waiting)
She's got me upside tongue-tied
Twisted all around
I don't wanna keep her waiting
(I don't wanna keep her waiting, waiting)
I've got a brown-eyed lover
On the other side of town
I don't wanna keep her waiting, ye
(I don't wanna keep her waiting, waiting)
She's got me upside tongue-tied
Twisted all around
I don't wanna keep her waiting
I don't wanna keep her waiting (I don't wanna keep her waiting, waiting)
I don't wanna keep her waiting (I don't wanna keep her waiting, waiting)
I don't wanna keep her waiting (I don't wanna keep her waiting, waiting)
I don't wanna keep her waiting

Lyrics - Love & Hate
Written by Brian Joseph Burton, Dean Cover and Michael Samuel Kiwanuka
Standing now
Calling all the people here to see the show
Calling for my demons now to let me go
I need something, give me something wonderful
I believe
She won't take me somewhere I'm not supposed to be
You can't steal the things that god has given me
No more pain and no more shame and misery
You can't take me down
You can't break me down
You can't take me down
You can't take me down
You can't break me down
You can't take me down
Love and hate
How much more are we supposed to tolerate
Can't you see there's more to me than my mistakes
Sometimes I get this feeling makes me hesitate
I believe
She won't take me somewhere I'm not supposed to be
You can't steal the things that god has given me
No more pain and no more shame and misery
You can't take me down
You can't break me down
You can't take me down
You can't break me down
You can't take me down
You can't break me down
I can see a place of trouble
And I'm on the verge
For the love of everybody
I did something wrong
Now I feel some days of trouble (I would stay way)
In the hospital (I would stay way)
For the love of everybody (I would stay way)
But behind a wall (I would stay way)

Standing now
Calling all the people here to see the show
Calling for my demons now to let me go
I need something, give me something wonderful

Hiatus Kaiyote is a vocal driven contemporary jazz act from Australia with a funk edge and R&B/Soul at it's root. The band has stated that their style/sound is "Future Soul" and/or "Multi-Dimensional, Polyrhythmic Gangster Shit".

Members include Naomi "Nai Palm" Saalfield on vocals & guitar, Paul Bender on bass, Simon Mavin on keyboards and Perrin Moss on drums/percussion.

Live Music Television is proud to present a timeless and nicely filmed and recorded live performance of Hiatus Kaiyote and their song titled Borderline with My Atoms, live at The Austin Patch. The studio version of the song was recorded for their abbum titled Choose Your Weapon, but this live version is as impecibly stellar live as it was on the album, and very hard to differentiate.
