Hiatus Kaiyote - Borderline with My Atoms (Live at the #AustinPatch)

LiveMusicTelevison.Com featureing Hiatus Kaiyote live filmed recording of Borderline with My Atoms in Austin

Hiatus Kaiyote is a vocal driven contemporary jazz act from Australia with a funk edge and R&B/Soul at it's root. The band has stated that their style/sound is "Future Soul" and/or "Multi-Dimensional, Polyrhythmic Gangster Shit".

Members include Naomi "Nai Palm" Saalfield on vocals & guitar, Paul Bender on bass, Simon Mavin on keyboards and Perrin Moss on drums/percussion.

Live Music Television is proud to present a timeless and nicely filmed and recorded live performance of Hiatus Kaiyote and their song titled Borderline with My Atoms, live at The Austin Patch. The studio version of the song was recorded for their abbum titled Choose Your Weapon, but this live version is as impecibly stellar live as it was on the album, and very hard to differentiate.

St.L么 - In the Pines (Live at Trans Musicales Fest in France)

LiveMusicTelevision.Com, Live Filmed Performance, St Lo or St.L么, In The Pines song, Trans Musicales

Live Music Television is pleased to present a unique French act known as St.L么. The group is led by a commanding female vocalist named Miz Walidah backed by three of male musicians: docMau, iOta and Ton’s. Miz Walidah has a strong vocal sound that is all her own, but there have been those who have named Grace Jones, Annie Lennox and Nina Simone to describe the vein she is in.

This live performance below was filmed at a annual French music festival that started in 1979 known as Les Rencontres Trans Musicales, also known as Les Transmusicales de Rennes. It takes place in Rennes, Brittany, France. In 2017, it is happening from December 6th through December 10th.

The song that St.L么 performs is a cover, their own unique rendition, of a classic song titled In The Pines. The song that has unknown authorship, but dates back to at least the 1870's. Artists who have coverd it include Lead Belly, Bob Dylan, Kurt Cobain and even Dolly Parton.

The band states the following about their cover version of "In The Pines:
"... With almost every cover, singers have taken license to change the lyrics. In the Pines is a folk song and though it is unclear who originally wrote it, folk songs are made to blow in the wind of time and the public domain. They are susceptible to change. St.L么 reinterprets In the Pines as a two person conversation, a hauntingly soulful story, set to a steady four on the floor."
